the scene...
we acted on the scene where the policemen investigated mary's house. she then offered them for a supper. the policemen refused, but mary was such a good actress! she pretended innocent and alas the policemen said yes.. they had a supper of the murder weapon-the lamb's leg..until they finished it up, they did not realised that they had helped mary to vanished the murder weapon..! the murder is not a man, but it it is the INNOCENT MARY MALONEY...!!!
LAMB TO THE SLAUGHTER
mary maloney is a good actress.she kills her husband but pretends to be innocent.even the policemen do not suspect her.there is irony in this story- the police eat up the murder weapon!the title itself-lamb to the slaughter-in the beginning of the story,mary just like the lamb,an innocent housewife and mother to be but by the end she became slaughter by kills her husband,patrick.
